Biographical Sketch
Dr. Kessler joined The Chicago School faculty in 2003 and now maintains a part-time private practice in Mundelein, IL. He has extensive experience in providing expert witness testimony in civil trials and administrative law hearings. His forensic practice largely focuses on the areas of child custody and disability/injury due to psychological factors. He conducts pre-employment psychological evaluations for several police departments. Dr. Kessler presently serves on the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations Psychologist Licensing and Disciplinary Board. He is an active member of the Illinois Psychological Association and served as its president of the organization from 2002 to 2003. Dr. Kessler’s teaching interests include ethics and professional issues, forensic assessment, professional development, and practice development.
